Heating Bills
Foam insulation has been scientifically tested and proven to be the best insulator
commercially available. Slashes heating bills!
Foam insulation adheres to whatever it touches and creates a strong, permanent, unbroken
seal to retain warmth. No other insulating material can do this.
Foam insulation has been widely used around the world for over 40 years. Its use
is increasing everywhere. Its benefits have been well established. Its use began in
regions of other countries experiencing extreme temperature volatility. It has since
proved extremely reliable and cost effective. Retains heat. Stops solar gain!
SprayWarm is our trade-marked rapid and rigid setting sprayed expanding polyurethane
strengthening insulation foam for use in roofs, lofts and attics of existing dwellings.

“I’m glad we had SprayWarm. Aren’t you?”
“Yes. Best thing we’ve done”

The investment of installing SprayWarm spray insulation foam in your roof space will
pay for itself by adding value to your home.
In the UK, domestic roofs are predominantly “pitched” or sloping. Their primary purpose
is to disperse rain and snow and to deflect wind.
Depending on tradition, fashion or technology and the width of the dwelling or span,
the pitch is normally between 25 - 45 degrees.
That determines the “headroom” or clear vertical dimension from bedroom ceiling joists
to the underside of the “ridge” or centre point, the highest point on the roof where
someone can stand upright without banging their head.
On a typical Victorian terraced house with a 45 degree pitch that distance is usually
2.5 - 3.0 metres (8 - 10 feet). That is more than enough for a man to comfortably
stand up.
The space created within the tent-like roof structure is referred to as an attic
or a loft.
In Victorian times, in “grander” homes, the servants used that space as living quarters.
Artists used the “garret” as studios, because the light quality improved without
shadows.
Attic or loft conversions are becoming increasingly common as home owners seek to
provide a useful purpose for their disused or under used asset.
Full blown loft conversions with new permanent staircases to be used as habitable
rooms can be notoriously expensive. They require Local Authority approval and have
to satisfy stringent requirements.
In some cases the expense incurred may not be beneficially recognised in the marketable
value of the property.

Insulation Foam Increases House Values
Official statistics tell us that most dwellings change hands every 8 years or so.
When eventually your time comes to move on, it will be important to get the best
valuation and sale price you can.
Much will depend on the housing market in your area at the time. What other homes
will be compared with yours. What condition they are in. The ability of buyers to
get a good mortgage offer. The valuation assessment by a surveyor.
Not being able to sell your asset for what you want and by when you want masks hidden
costs in terms of lost money, unnecessary anxiety and domestic tensions.
It will seriously affect where you can afford to move to and whether you will be
happy there.
Amongst the many factors taken into consideration by a buyer and their mortgage provider
will be the condition of the dwelling’s roof and the home’s energy efficiency (as
currently required by Law).
Recently, mortgage providers have become far more cautious than they once were.
